The 1st Conference of the Brazilian
Society of Analytical Philosophy (I SBFA) took place in São Leopoldo, Rio
Grande do Sul between May 31 and June 02, 2010. The invited speakers were Mark
Timmons (University of Arizona), Pascal Engel (Université de Genève) and Ruth
Millikan (University of Connecticut).
The IISBFA was held in Fortaleza, Ceará,
between June 03 and 06, 2012. At that time, the invited speakers were Susan Haack
(Miami), Oswaldo Chateaubriand (Rio de Janeiro), Francois Recanati (Paris),
Pascal Engel), Nicholas Shaun (Arizona) and Jesse Prinz (New York). In 2012,
Prof. Adriano Naves (UNISINOS) was President of SBFA and Claudio Costa (UFRN),
the Vice President. André Leclerc (UFC) was the First Secretary, Sofia Stein
(UFRG), the Second Secretary and Darlei Dall'Agnol (UFSC), the Treasurer.
The IIISBFA also took place in Fortaleza
between May 27 and 31, 2014. This edition was held concurrently with the III
Latin American Analytic Philosophy Conference and co-organized with the Latin
American Association of Analytical Philosophy (ALPHAn). The guests for this
edition were Timothy Williamson (Oxford), Maite Ezcurdia (UNAM), Nathan Salmon
(U. Santa Barbara), Eleonora Orlando (Buenos Aires), Décio Krause (UFSC) and
Claudine Tiercelin (Collège de France). In 2014, the President of SBFA was
Andre Leclerc (UFC).
The IVSBFA took place at UNICAMP in
Campinas, São Paulo, between June 04 and 08, 2016. Our invited speakers were Ernest
Sosa (Rutgers), John Perry (Stanford), Eros Corazza (Carleton), Roberta
Ballarin (British Columbia) , Stefano Predelli (Nottingham) and André Leclerc
(UFC). Marco Ruffino (UNICAMP) was the President of SBFA.
